Kyle disappears after he torches the building site of his and Amanda’s house where he reveals his secret to her about him being sterile. Meanwhile, Michael sets plans with Audrey for her to break off the lawsuit against him so he can sue the hospital for wrongful termination. But when the equally devious Audrey demands an huge sum of money from Michael for her services, he refuses. So Audrey sets up a compromising video shot of her and Michael to blackmail him. While worrying about Kyle’s whereabouts, Amanda fires Rikki G’s band from the Jazz Club after blaming them for Kyle’s desperate condition, much to Eve’s anger. Also, Jane and Ryan travel to a Mexican resort to land an account where Lexi also goes there in Megan’s place with the intent to snare Ryan for herself.

Michael considers drastic measures regarding his failing clinic. But a little intervention from a sympathetic Megan changes his mind. Meanwhile, Rory Blake, an old friend of Lexi’s, makes a play for Amanda, while a wary Peter observes from afar. At Jeff’s request, Samantha meets his family at a picnic outing, while Billy continues to let Jennifer comfort him in Samantha’s absence. But when Samantha seriously considers returning to Billy, she finds him in a compromising situation with Jennifer. Michael begins a plan to wreck Cooper’s and Megan’s life when he secretly meets with Dr. Larner, the doctor considering Cooper for the job offer in Philadelphia, and tells him about their sordid past. Kyle continues investigating Christine’s death when the path leads him to Nick’s old place in Dallas where he learns about the visit he had with Taylor. But Kyle decides to bait Taylor into spilling what she knows by wooing her. At the end, Taylor learns from Michael an unsavory surprise: she is pregnant from the fling they had.

Kimberly is hospitalized and is told of a new problem in her medical condition that could help her or kill her. With Samantha’s help, Matt tries to find his runaway niece while he argues with his mother over who will take custody of Chelsea. Amanda invites Craig for a weekend drive up the coast where she tells him of a new turn in her life of vowing to be celibate for an indefinite period. Sydney meets Hilda Morris, the woman suing her, and her sleazy lawyer, Harry Dean, who make it clear that they will not back down from the lawsuit and plan to take all assets that Sydney owns. At the end, Samantha’s ex-con father, Jim Reilly, suddenly shows up for a surprise visit.

While Amanda is in the hospital for continue cancer treatments, Kimberly tries to bind Michael with the $100,000 settlement they receive from the city over their car accident. But Michael tricks Kimberly by having her sign divorce papers and declares his love for Amanda. Kimberly is devastated by this turn of events and decides to end it all. Meanwhile, Jess arrives in Los Angeles and surprises Jake by moving in with him and asks to give him a job a Shooters as the bartender in order to begin a new life for himself. But Sydney becomes suspicious to Jess’ true motives when she sees Jess snooping around Jake’s office. But eventually, Sydney decides not to say anything because she knows that nobody, not even Jake, will believe her because of her (misundersood) reputation as a sociopath and a compulsive, pathological liar. Brooke shows Billy her father’s mansion as a potential photo shoot for D&D, while Alison constantly argues with Jo over the photo layout. At the end, Brooke secretly meets with Amanda who recruits her for the coming war against Alison to take back her title of president at D&D.

Alison seeks mental support from Keith after his car is hijacked from her at gunpoint. Amanda introduces Billy to her father Palmer, while Billy grows more distant from Alison and decides to move in with Amanda at her high-rise apartment in Marina Del Ray. Meanwhile, Rhonda becomes concerned after Terrence hires an interior decorator, who happens to be her ex-roommate Carrie, especially when she makes a move on him. Also, Jo shows Alison and Jake her special 9mm handgun she always keeps on her which makes them, especially Jake, uncomfortable.
